About

Born in Rostock, working in Berlin since 2011

I started with a borrowed camera and a bathroom darkroom in 2009 and never moved on to colour. Black and white is not a style for me; it is a way of removing everything from a picture that is not the picture.

The work is in three long series, Salt, Concrete and Faces, and in a few pictures that belong to none of them. All of it is shot on film and printed by hand.
